Evangelism & Missions

Our vision is to make a positive impact on the Bronx, the entire city of New York, and surrounding counties, while at the same time, using every possible means to spread the gospel around the world.

Christ Alive Christian Center is a church reaching out to the world. This being the case, makes Acts 1:8 (KJV), ‘But ye shall receive power, after that, the Holy Ghost shall come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and and to the end of the earth.” (NKJV) This is why we are committed to having an impact in the evangelism of the world at home and abroad. Both at the same time!

The goal of our Evangelism and Missions Ministry is to seek to bring people into a new relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit endeavors to awaken repentance, commitment and faith. Its purpose is to develop, coordinate, and administer an effective and comprehensive evangelism ministry for the church, and provide leadership to and supervision of those serving in this ministry.

Home Missions

Revealing Jesus to the community. . .
Every year, hundreds of people respond to the message of the gospel in our services as well as through our various outreaches. As a result, God is stirring even bigger dreams in our hearts, to see the Bronx, New York City and surrounding counties transformed by the power of God. We want to see families strengthened and neighborhoods a safe place to live and work. Our vision is being enlarged for local outreach, evangelism and discipleship.

Networking with other local churches and organizations committed to reaching the neighborhoods of the city is an important part of our Revealing Jesus campaign. We will be partnering with them to provide food, clothing, medical help, and other critical necessities to those who are in need. We believe that no one church or organization can effectively minister to the vast needs that exist in the city and surrounding counties.

Foreign Missions

Reaching the world for Christ. . .

Our vision for missions (as stated above), is to make a positive impact upon the Bronx, the entire city of New York and surrounding counties, while at the same time using every possible means to spread the gospel around the world.

At Christ Alive Christian Center, ten percent of our general funds is designated for missions funding here in the Bronx, across America, and different nations around the world. We have supported missionaries and nationals either on an ongoing or periodic basis in such countries as Jamaica, Philippines, India, Italy, Estonia, Mexico, Panama, and Canada. We have assisted in the planting and building of churches, supported bible schools, purchasing of homes for pastors, feeding the homeless and elderly, among other things. Together with faithful men and women of the body of Christ, we are reaching this generation with the Gospel!

Christ Alive Christian Center is a church with a strong vision for missions. Our desire is quite simple. It is to obey the command of Christ, and “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Everyone is not able to go, but as one missionary statesman said, “If you cannot go, send a substitute.”

Meeting the Needs of Foreign Pastors, Ministers and Missionaries

What are the needs of foreign pastors, ministers and missionaries?
One source says the top five needs are:

  1. The need for encouragement.
  2. The need for personal ministry.
  3. The need to train the local native workers and leaders.
  4. Practical needs of the ministry such as finances, evangelism tools, buildings, mission teams, and prayer.
  5. For someone to personally visit their work in their country.

We meet the need for encouragement through letters, e-mail, phone or fax, personal appointments, and visiting ministries in other countries. We also pray for them personally when they have personal prayer requests. We have also traveled to different nations to assist in the training and development of those who assist the various ministries in reaching their nation with the gospel.
